Therefore in the Church, everyone whether belonging to the hierarchy, or being cared for by it, is called to holiness, according to the saying of the Apostle: "For this is the will of God, your sanctification". In such a home husbands and wives find their proper vocation in being witnesses of the faith and love of Christ to one another and to their children. The Lumen Gentium says the Church is hierarchical. They must assist each other to live holier lives even in their daily occupations. Trid., Sess.
